<\/p>\nFormer senior constable Beau Lamarre-Condon had dinner and a walk with a friend to whom he allegedly confessed to murdering two people a day earlier, a jury has heard.<\/p>\n
Lamarre-Condon, 31, has pleaded not guilty to the February 2024 murders of his ex Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, saying the two men died in separate violent struggles.<\/p>\n

The former officer entered Baird’s house armed with his police pistol and disguised as a food delivery rider before the two men were fatally shot.<\/p>\n
On Monday afternoon, the 15-member NSW Supreme Court jury was shown multiple CCTV clips of Lamarre-Condon’s movements on February 20, the day after the two men died.<\/p>\n
After being seen at Bunnings Alexandria buying a power drill and multiple items of clothing, Lamarre-Condon allegedly drove south.<\/p>\n
He picked up a friend, who is yet to give evidence, and drove to Cronulla where the pair had dinner at Sushi Train, the footage shows.<\/p>\n
The jury heard earlier in the trial that Lamarre-Condon had allegedly confessed the killings to the friend the previous day and later sent him a text reading: “I should get an Oscar”.<\/p>\n
It is the same friend the Crown alleges was with the accused when he bought a surfboard bag at a sports store two days before allegedly murdering Baird.<\/p>\n
Having finished dinner, the pair can be seen walking on the Cronulla promenade before the footage shows the officer driving his friend home.<\/p>\n

In the footage, the friend can be seen getting out of the passenger side of the car, opening the lid of the skip bin and getting back in the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Lamarre-Condon returned to the bin later that night to dump the bloodied personal items belonging to Baird and Davies, the jury has heard.<\/p>\n
The trip to Cronulla was not the last time Lamarre-Condon would allegedly involve a friend in the aftermath of the killings.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the jury will hear from a witness who is alleged to have travelled to Bungonia with Lamarre-Condon on a trip where he attempted to dump the men’s bodies.<\/p>\n
A month later, one of the senior constable’s friends and colleagues received a phone call from an unknown number, yet a familiar voice.<\/p>\n
“Dayna, it’s Beau,” Senior Constable Dayna Schagen recalled the accused saying when she answered after 9pm on a Monday<\/p>\n
“What the f—, why are you calling me?” she asked Lamarre-Condon.<\/p>\n
“I just wanted to tell you I love you,” Lamarre-Condon said.<\/p>\n

Schagen said she immediately cut off the conversation.<\/p>\n
“You killed two people … why do you think I would ever want to speak to you again?” she said before hanging up.<\/p>\n
The officer, who testified about the conversation in Lamarre-Condon’s NSW Supreme Court trial on Monday, said she had been close friends with the accused before his arrest.<\/p>\n
After the call on March 28, she said she texted her superior officer an account of the conversation and gave a statement about its contents.<\/p>\n
The phone Lamarre-Condon used to make the call belonged to his friend Jodie Parker, who lived in Queensland, the jury heard.<\/p>\n
A fear of being monitored permeated Lamarre-Condon’s thoughts well before he allegedly murdered the two men, the jury heard.<\/p>\n

Schagen said the accused would regularly ask to move their conversations to encrypted app Signal when discussing police matters.<\/p>\n
“Anything to do with work was not discussed over text … he was very apprehensive about work and them hearing our conversations,” she said.<\/p>\n
