Australian model<\/a> Sahara Ray has died aged 34.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe passed away last night surrounded by family at the hospital. She was so loved,\u201d Ray\u2019s family confirmed to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Her cause of death has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Ray was the daughter of Australian big-wave surfer Tony Ray and grew up splitting her time between Victoria, California and Hawaii.<\/p>\n

She rose to fame through her modelling career and social media presence, and founded her own swimwear line, Sahara Ray Swim, in 2014.<\/p>\n

She also made headlines in 2015 for being linked to Australian singer Cody Simpson<\/a>, and was pictured holidaying with Justin Bieber<\/a> in Hawaii in 2016.<\/p>\n

Ray welcomed her first child, a daughter named Snow, in January.<\/p>\n

Her final Instagram post was a tribute to her baby in July.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy whole heart, baby Snow,\u201d she shared alongside photos.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Ray opened up about being diagnosed with Guillain-Barr\u00e9 syndrome, a rare autoimmune condition, after being hit by a car.<\/p>\n

It causes the body\u2019s immune system to attack the nerves and can cause weakness, numbness or paralysis, according to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ray announced her pregnancy in August 2025 and welcomed her daughter in January.\u00a0Instagram\/@sahara_ray<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so overwhelmed with what\u2019s been going on with me,\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo basically right now, I\u2019m paralysed from the tops of my upper thighs all the way down to my feet. I can\u2019t walk at all.
