{"id":934557,"date":"2026-10-20T05:06:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T05:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/934557\/"},"modified":"2026-10-20T05:06:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T05:06:12","slug":"andre-heimgartner-again-supercars-finals-nearly-man-despite-bathurst-result","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/934557\/","title":{"rendered":"Andr\u00e9 Heimgartner again Supercars finals&#8217; nearly man despite Bathurst result"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FOR the second year running, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-829-Andre-Heimgartner\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andr\u00e9 Heimgartner<\/a> is the Supercars finals series\u2019 nearly man.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, Heimgartner had one hand on the 10th and final playoffs ticket until being passed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-1545-Broc-Feeney\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Broc Feeney<\/a> on the last lap of the Bathurst 1000 \u2013 a manoeuvre which allowed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-2726-Kai-Allen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kai Allen<\/a> to leapfrog the Brad Jones Racing driver.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This time around it wasn\u2019t so close, but nevertheless Heimgartner ended the regular season in 11th.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That came after he and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-1232-Bryce-Fullwood\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bryce Fullwood<\/a> proved the best Toyota in the Great Race, enjoying a strong Sunday to finish seventh at Mount Panorama.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/toyota-claims-historic-bathurst-1000-result\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toyota claims historic Bathurst 1000 result<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA bit disappointed, I guess. In the end, we just weren\u2019t able to get there and get in the finals,\u201d said Heimgartner.<\/p>\n<p>Unpacking an Epic Bathurst 1000 | The Undercut<\/p>\n<p>THE Bathurst 1000 once again turned out an all-time classic race, with all of the winners and losers put under the microscope in this episode of The Undercut!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBut hey, I think we gave it a red-hot crack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSort of had one hand tied behind our back and we really came out punching and executed that race really, really well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s probably the best race from the team side that I\u2019ve had in a long time and everything was executed well.
