I recently asked<\/a> the Bright Side community what we could do better as we head into this season. Because if there\u2019s one thing I learned a long, long time ago, it\u2019s that I don\u2019t know everything. In fact, one of the quotes I remember my grandfather always saying was, \u201cTo know that you don\u2019t know is to know.\u201d The point? If you understand that you don\u2019t know everything, you remain inquisitive. You ask questions. You genuinely seek feedback. And that, in and of itself, is a form of knowledge.<\/p>\n

So I asked the community what you\u2019d like to see us do better around here at Bright Side, and I received plenty of great feedback. Thank you for that. It motivates me and it motivates the writing team. It serves as another reminder of what makes this site unique. This truly is a community, and we\u2019re all in this thing together.<\/p>\n

One of the more entertaining suggestions was a \u2018Bright Side Casino\u2019, similar to what AZ Snake Pit<\/a> has done over the years on our sister SB Nation site covering the Arizona Diamondbacks. The premise? I\u2019m giving every reader $1,500 in play money. We\u2019ll call them Bright Side Bucks, or BS$ for short. I\u2019ll then put forth a series of interesting lines pertaining to the Phoenix Suns for the upcoming season. Your job is to head into the comments and spend your BS$ however you see fit across the different categories, stating whether or not you think the line you selected will go over or under. If it hits, you double your BS$.<\/p>\n

There are a couple of caveats. The maximum bet on any individual line is BS$500. That means you have to wager on at least three different lines. How you spend your BS$1,500 is entirely up to you. For ease of entering them into the spreadsheet, entry lines should be in the form: Wins, BS$300, OVER, which means you are betting that Phoenix will win more than the specified number.<\/p>\n

And now, head into the comments below and spend your Bright Side Bucks as you see fit. I\u2019ll throw everybody\u2019s wagers into a spreadsheet so we can check in on them every now and then throughout the season. At the very least, we\u2019ll revisit everything at the end of the year and see how everyone did.<\/p>\n
