BRISBANE is another club to watch ahead of next month’s Telstra AFL Draft, with the Lions a chance to orchestrate a pick swap as they look to bring their latest Academy talent to the club.

The Lions are looking to match a potential first-round bid on talented medium defender and Academy prospect Caylen Murray, who starred for the Allies during the 2026 Marsh AFL National Under-18 Boys Championships.

But I reckon they’ll get creative with that. I reckon they will get 21, 27 and 28 to try and amass more points. I don’t think they’ll go into the draft with 21 and 27 as their first two picks.

“How many more points can they get … to match a Caylan Murray bid and potentially take another couple of players later on in the draft?”
