Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow<\/a> appeared less than enthused about Vice President JD Vance\u2019s<\/a> visit to the team\u2019s practice on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

After attending several events in the area, Vance, an Ohio native and Bengals fan<\/a>, made an impromptu stop at the football team\u2019s practice facility. Based on videos posted to social media, it did not go well. <\/p>\n

One video from inside the facility showed several players walking past Vance and barely acknowledging him. Only one player, tight end Drew Sample, stopped to shake Vance\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n

After Vance\u2019s visit, a reporter asked Burrow if he and the vice president had a chance to meet. The star quarterback\u2019s answer was, as one commenter on social media described it<\/a>, a \u201cvery polite \u2018fuck that guy.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cVice President Vance was here at practice today; did y\u2019all get a chance to interact at all?\u201d the reporter asked. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe did not, we did not; he came with everybody and left with swiftness and efficiency before the end of practice, so I didn\u2019t get to,\u201d Burrow said. <\/p>\n

Burrow was then asked what his reaction was to Vance\u2019s presence. <\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, a lot of people, a lot of people around. You know, that\u2019s what I love about what I do is it brings a lot of people together, and people want to take time out of their day to come and watch what we do, watch what I do, and watch all the work that I\u2019ve put in to come and watch greatness,\u201d Burrow said. <\/p>\n

Burrow\u2019s comments quickly went viral on social media, with many surmising he was indifferent to Vance, while others suggested his answer showed contempt for the vice president. <\/p>\n

Although not much is known about Burrow\u2019s political beliefs, he has spoken out<\/a> about police brutality and abortion rights in the past. However, Burrow was seen chatting with President Donald Trump<\/a> at a UFC event in March 2024,<\/a> alongside fellow NFL player and fierce Trump supporter Nick Bosa. <\/p>\n
