Police have charged a 28-year-old man after he allegedly stole two vehicles and crashed one into a petrol station in Western Australia’s south.<\/p>\n
It is alleged the man entered a farm south of Kojonup on Mcillwraith Road and stole a Nissan Patrol about 12:15am yesterday.<\/p>\n
Police said he then abandoned the vehicle a short time later at another property on Douglas Road.<\/p>\n
The man then allegedly stole a second vehicle at the property, a Toyota Hilux, and allegedly crashed into a service station on Albany Highway in Kojonup.<\/p>\n
Police said the crash sparked a small fire that was extinguished soon after, and have released dramatic CCTV vision showing the moment of impact.<\/p>\n
The man is accused of stealing a number of items from the service station after forcing entry, before police arrested him.<\/p>\n
He is facing six charges, including burglary and stealing a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n
He was released on bail to get medical treatment for injuries allegedly sustained in the crash.<\/p>\n
The man from Ryansbrook is due to face Albany Magistrates Court next month.<\/p>\n
