{"id":937934,"date":"2026-10-23T08:56:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-23T08:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/937934\/"},"modified":"2026-10-23T08:56:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-23T08:56:12","slug":"who-chief-praises-enhypen-for-inspiring-blood-donations-worldwide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/937934\/","title":{"rendered":"WHO chief praises Enhypen for inspiring blood donations worldwide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"subtitle above\" style=\"\">\n        The World Health Organization (WHO) chief&#8217;s remarks come after\u00a0Enhypen, in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross, launched a blood-donation campaign in January alongside the release of its seventh EP &#8220;The Sin: Vanish.&#8221;\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n        Enhypen members pose with World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, second from right in the front row, at HYBE headquarters in Yongsan District, central Seoul, on Sept. 22.<br \/>\n        BELIFT LAB\n    <\/p>\n<p>The World Health Organization (WHO) chief recognized Enhypen for its efforts to encourage blood donation worldwide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised each member\u2019s dedication to raising awareness of blood donation during a meeting with the boy band at HYBE headquarters in Yongsan District, central Seoul, on Thursday, according to its agency Belift Lab.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for your work and commitment in promoting blood donation with the WHO,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DrTedros\/status\/2113286231526171006\" rel=\"nofollow\">Ghebreyesus wrote on X, sharing a photo of himself and the sextet.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enhypen, in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross, launched a blood-donation campaign in January alongside the release of its seventh EP \u201cThe Sin: Vanish.\u201d The campaign attracted thousands of blood donors in Korea that month and was later expanded to Japan and Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>The members also donated blood in June as part of a project with WHO.<\/p>\n<p>Ghebreyesus acknowledged a wave of voluntary blood donations worldwide that followed Enhypen\u2019s campaign and the members\u2019 own donations.
