\n\tWith two songs on the Billboard Hot 100 right now, Ad\u00e9la is having a real moment, and she\u2019s waving the flag for her homeland, Slovakia.<\/p>\n

\n\tIf it all feels unreal, bizarre even, Ad\u00e9la can be forgiven. Ever since she learned to read and write, her mind has been occupied with the American dream. As a youngster, the Disney Channel was constantly switched on at the family home, Ad\u00e9la hatched a plan and a timeline.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI basically wanted to be famous,\u201d she told Jimmy Fallon, when she stopped by NBC<\/a>\u2019s The Tonight Show for Thursday night\u2019s episode. Her education included watching Fallon\u2019s interviews with Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and others.<\/p>\n

\n\tDreams, they sometimes come true. Ad\u00e9la boasts a top 10 hit with the viral song \u201cNicole Kidman,\u201d lifting 9-6 on the latest Billboard Hot 100<\/a>, for a new high. A month ago, when Kidman stopped by The Tonight Show, conversation quickly moved to Ad\u00e9la and her ode to the Australian actress. \u201cI can\u2019t believe it. She wrote a song called \u2018Nicole Kidman,\u2019\u201d the Oscar winner remarked at the time<\/a>. \u201cShe\u2019s so talented.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDeep breath, Ad\u00e9la. \u201cThat\u2019s too much to even think about,\u201d she explained to Fallon. \u201cShe\u2019s my muse.\u201d Kidman, well \u201cshe\u2019s doing charity work by mentioning my name all over town. It\u2019s amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIf that was strange, Ad\u00e9la must\u2019ve felt like she entered Weirdworld when Kidman, Dua Lipa, Pedro Pascal and other a-listers created TikToks to Ad\u00e9la\u2019s music. \u201cI was like, this is not real. I\u2019m being pranked obviously, I honestly thought it was AI. But it was not,\u201d she recounted in her late-night interview. <\/p>\n

\n\tAd\u00e9la\u2019s mom is, of course, on her side, freaking out just like her daughter. \u201cShe also loves Nicole,\u201d the rising pop star admitted. \u201cShe was beside herself. She was like \u2018I don\u2019t know if people are going crazy of if you\u2019re a genius. But it\u2019s working.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThen, Ad\u00e9la stepped away from the Tonight Show couch and onto the stage for her TV debut performance, a medley of those two hits \u201cNicole Kidman\u201d and \u201cAin\u2019t In LA,\u201d both lifted from the album Prima. The rising Slovak star sure made an impression, leading a troupe of dancers for a seductive performance with all the hallmarks of a wild night down at the Moulin Rouge. <\/p>\n
