At least one person is dead and four have been injured in a Paris shooting days after riots engulfed France. <\/p>\n

One of those injured was a 12-year-old.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred on Friday, France time, in Trappes, a southern Paris suburbs near historic Versailles. The Trappes mayor called it a \u201cbloodbath\u201d. <\/p>\n

At least two victims from immigrant backgrounds and authorities are looking into whether it was a potential \u201cterrorist\u201d act. <\/p>\n

Europe\u2019s summer heat is estimated to have killed more than 50,000 people across hundreds of cities, with nearly two-thirds of those deaths attributed to human-caused climate change. <\/p>\n

People aged 85 and over faced the highest death rates. More than 800 people aged between 20 and 44 were also estimated to have died.<\/p>\n

In Tibet, at least 16 people have been killed and 32 more injured when a strong 7.0-magnitude earthquake.<\/p>\n

At least 339 homes collapsed, according local authorities.<\/p>\n

Katie Zacharia left the role last weekend after a baptism of fire, struggling to answer questions in her initial press briefing and a series of TV interviews.<\/p>\n
