HONOLULU — The University of Hawaiʻi Athletics Department has announced the launch of the new Basketball Community Ticket Program for the upcoming 2026-27 season. In a new initiative designed to give back to the local community, UH Athletics will donate five game tickets to local 501(c)(3) organizations for every men’s and women’s basketball season ticket purchased this year.

“UH Athletics is at its best when it brings Hawaiʻi together,” Athletics Director Matt Elliott said. “We are excited to announce that every basketball season ticket purchased this season will open the door for five members of our community to experience Hawaiʻi basketball. Loyal fans can support UH student-athletes and help members of local nonprofit organizations make lifelong memories alongside them. Please join us in supporting and inspiring our youth, our students and our community. This program is another way for everyone to be a part of Our Team, Hawaiʻi’s Team.”

Fans simply need to secure their season tickets, and the athletics department will handle the rest. By renewing or purchasing new season tickets, fans are not only securing their seats to support the Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine, but also directly support the community.

Local 501(c)(3) organizations are invited to apply for an opportunity to become a recipient in this program. Interested groups must fill out and submit an application form and provide official documentation of their 501(c)(3) classification. There is no minimum or maximum number of tickets or games a group can request. However, organizations are asked to provide specific details regarding their request to assist the athletics department in the selection process and ensure that all allocated tickets will be fully utilized.
