\u201c[He\u2019s] a great player, highly respected and had a great NBA career. I played him in high school at a couple of camps. He\u2019s always been the number one point guard in the country when we were in high school.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I got the call [to say Cole Anthony was signing in the NBL], I was like sh*t, that\u2019s good for the League. That\u2019s good for me, it\u2019s good for Bryce, it\u2019s good for everybody. It\u2019s exciting, and I\u2019m looking forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Opposing number Anthony, whose United side lost a thriller to Perth on Friday, is desperate to help Melbourne return to the winner\u2019s circle, regardless of who\u2019s in front of him.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of the day, I\u2019m a competitor and, if you step onto the court on the other team, I\u2019m going to go at whoever\u2019s in front of me, but I try not to get into the individual battles,\u201d Anthony said to CODE Sports.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis game is one that\u2019s going to be a great test for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
As it stands, Anthony sits in third in points per game (23), just edging out Davis (22.9).<\/p>\n
