A week later, he left the field a hero of the Falcons\u2019 29-20 upset of the previously undefeated 49ers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/50280836\/kendal-daniels-seals-falcons-win-fourth-quarter-int\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the craziest week<\/a> of my life,\u201d Daniels said, via Marc Raimondi of ESPN. \u201cI\u2019ve never not walked off the field after an injury. So, mentally, I had to be prepared and going back home and just making sure I was OK mentally more than anything and not playing timid, but I\u2019ve never not gotten up from an injury. So, being stretched off the field &#8212; I won\u2019t let it happen again. It was a bad feeling, and I\u2019m blessed to be able to play this week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Daniels dove to tackle Bears tight end Colston Loveland in the third quarter and Daniels\u2019 head collided with Loveland\u2019s left leg. Medical personnel attended to Daniels for almost 8 minutes before sending him to a local hospital for further evaluation of his neck. <\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Daniels iced the game with an interception of Brock Purdy. He also had nine solo tackles and a fumble recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Coach Kevin Stefanski called it \u201cremarkable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t thinking of [his neck injury],\u201d Daniels said. \u201c\u2018I think that was the last thing I was worried about was last week.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Falcons rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels left the field on a stretcher last Sunday.
