The Indianapolis Colts’ asking price for star running back Jonathan Taylor on the trade market has reportedly been revealed.<\/p>\n
According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan<\/a>, Taylor would cost a second-round draft pick and “possibly more” in order for a trade to be finalized.<\/p>\n ESPN’s Stephen Holder<\/a> previously reported that “several teams” were showing interest in the 27-year-old ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.<\/p>\n The Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos are among the squads expected to consider pursuing Taylor, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jonathan Jones<\/a> of The Athletic also listed the New York Giants as a potential suitor for the running back.<\/p>\n While there is certainly a market for Taylor, it remains to be seen whether the Colts want to trade him at all. Schefter reported on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday that Indianapolis would prefer to trade other players before Taylor. <\/p>\n “They don’t want to trade Jonathan Taylor, which doesn’t mean they won’t trade him, but I don’t think they want to, and today I would say they don’t,” Schefter said (3:40 mark). “But there are other players that I believe will wind up being on the move here. And I think the players you look at would be DeForest Buckner, Josh Downs, Grover Stewart on the defensive line.”<\/p>\n Indianapolis has failed to meet expectations this season, sitting at just 2-5 through seven weeks.<\/p>\n The Colts fired<\/a> general manager Chris Ballard on Oct. 19, while head coach Shane Steichen is reportedly<\/a> on the hot seat.<\/p>\n The team has already started to sell ahead of the deadline, as Schefter and Rapoport reported<\/a> that Indianapolis traded star guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks on Tuesday.<\/p>\n The Colts are also “actively shopping” defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite Indianapolis’ overall struggles this year, Taylor has been a bright spot.<\/p>\n
