{"id":943312,"date":"2026-10-28T00:12:16","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T00:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/943312\/"},"modified":"2026-10-28T00:12:16","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T00:12:16","slug":"jack-le-brocq-reacts-to-supercars-finals-knockout-on-gold-coast-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/943312\/","title":{"rendered":"Jack Le Brocq reacts to Supercars finals knockout on Gold Coast 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-1181-Jack-Le Brocq\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JACK Le Brocq<\/a> and Matt Stone Racing remain upbeat about their breakthrough Supercars finals berth, despite bowing out with a whimper on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Brocq was the ultimate underdog in the finals contingent, riding consistency to punch a playoffs ticket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But truthfully the #4 Sherrin Rentals Chevrolet never really factored at Surfers Paradise, finishing the two races in 22nd and 21st.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were some slices of bad luck along the way, including being baulked by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-1292-Will-Brown\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Will Brown<\/a> in Friday qualifying, and sustaining damage in a Sunday startline incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nevertheless, Le Brocq has delivered MSR yet another first \u2013 just like he did three years ago in Darwin with the team\u2019s maiden pole and race win.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/RGP-2026-Boost-Mobile-Gold-Coast-500-_25a6313-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-269223\"  \/>Pic: Ross Gibb<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt was a tough weekend out there and we had a few unlucky moments, but we kept fighting,\u201d said JLB.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe big positive is that we\u2019ve already achieved our goal of making the finals, which is something I\u2019m incredibly proud of.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ll take what we can from the weekend, reset and get stuck into Sandown. We\u2019ve had some good runs there before, and we\u2019re definitely hunting to put together a strong couple of rounds to finish the year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/neil-crompton-best-seat-in-the-house-paperback-book?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=buy-button&amp;utm_content=buy-button\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1793146336_677_crompo-best-seat_5b75954d-4e40-4ba6-9bcc-7182f428f124.jpg\"\/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Team owner Matt Stone said: \u201cIt was great to see the speed Zach (Bates) showed throughout the weekend, particularly in qualifying and Saturday\u2019s race.
