The Bruins<\/a> and Hurricanes will face off on Tuesday night in what could be a preview of a playoff matchup.<\/p>\n

Boston has won seven of its last eight games, scoring 12 total goals in back-to-back victories last week. James Hagens has made an early impact in his rookie season with nine points (four goals, five assists) in 12 games.<\/p>\n

The Hurricanes are 2-2 in their last four games. Sebastian Aho leads Carolina with 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists).<\/p>\n

10:10 p.m. ET: Still a two-man advantage by the Hurricanes as\u00a0the third period began. Swayman with multiple saves. It’s now 5 vs. 4. Now it’s full strength.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9:47 p.m. ET: With 35 seconds left in the second period, there was a tripping penalty on a speedy\u00a0Nikita Zadorov. Swayman with a big save during the power play. Penalty call on Hampus\u00a0Lindholm for tripping. Hurricanes will have a two-man advantage in the third period.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9:41 p.m. ET: Poitras\u00a0is back in the game.\u00a0Seth Jarvis with a wide shot attempt. The Hurricanes kept possession of the puck for a while. The Bruins had a clear shot, but\u00a0Kochetkov made some miraculous saves. Blake tried to score another goal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9:30 p.m. ET: Logan Stankoven with a shot above the crossbar. McAvoy dropped to his knees.\u00a0Lindholm’s stick hit his teammates head. Back in, McAvoy tried to get a goal. Swayman with a few saves.\u00a0William Carrier with multiple shot attempts, all stopped by Swayman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9:24 p.m. ET: Ehlers with a shot wide left. Miller appeared out of it but stayed in the game.\u00a0McAvoy and Zacha tried to give the Bruins the lead. There was almost a Hurricanes goal.\u00a0Matthew Poitras’ hand looked rough after defending a shot.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9:13 p.m. ET: Minten started the second period by getting a penalty for tripping.\u00a0Carolina power play. It didn’t last long, as Boston was back to full strength.\u00a0Eric Robinson with a shot right down the middle but Swayman saved it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8:50 p.m. ET: That shot was with about a minute remaining.\u00a0Zacha was off the ice for a bit, but came back on. Meanwhile, Borgen looked like he tweaked something before the end of the period.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8:42 p.m. ET: Gloves dropped. Jeannot and Nicolas Deslauriers in a heavyweight fight. Hooks are being thrown.\u00a0Geekie almost had a snap shot goal. Penalty call on Blake again. Holding. Power play, Bruins.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8:36 p.m. ET: Kochetkov saved a James Hagens attempt. Jackson Blake with a holding penalty. Bruins power play.\u00a0Morgan Geekie with a shot attempt. Aho with a shot attempt, blocked by Swayman. Right out of the penalty box, Blake tried to score, but couldn’t get it into the net.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8:27 p.m. ET: Swayman was alert and caught a Svechnikov shot attempt.\u00a0He also blocked Sebastian Aho and Ehlers shot attempts. Bruins killed the power play.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8:22 p.m. ET: K’Andre Miller stopped James Hagens from making a shot. William Borgen with a shot attempt, saved by\u00a0Kochetkov. Penalty against the Bruins, Tanner Jeannot for hooking. Power play, Hurricanes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8:18 p.m. ET: The Bruins attempted to score a quick second goal.\u00a0Lindholm wanted to shoot the puck into the net.\u00a0Save by Pyotr Kochetkov.\u00a0Swayman with a big save following a Nikolaj Ehlers snap shot attempt. He then blocked a Jackson Blake shot attempt. \u00a0<\/p>\n
