The US has warned several Gulf Arab countries to prepare for a short, intense military campaign against Iran after November\u2019s midterm elections.<\/p>\n

The Wall Street Journal is reporting the US is also moving additional military assets into position, including a Patriot missile defence system being transferred to Israel. American forces have also been restocking munitions, while bomber aircraft and fighter jets prepare for potential strikes.<\/p>\n

The White House said the president was keeping all options open to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.<\/p>\n

US President Donald Trump has meanwhile argued his backing as a major factor helping Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu \u2018turn the tide\u2019 and make up lost ground in the election.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen President Trump endorsed Bibi Netanyahu, the whole tide turned,\u201d Mr Trump wrote on Truth social.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing the election results are too early to call, just over half of the votes have been counted and Netanyahu\u2019s bloc lead narrowly however still have a ways to go.<\/p>\n
