He has completed 31 or more starts in each of his last six seasons, powered by one of baseball\u2019s best splitters and a workhorse\u2019s durability.<\/p>\n Gausman won\u2019t command a long-term megadeal at this point, making him a high-impact, short-term option for contenders needing a veteran arm. His performance in San Francisco, where he hit .324 in 105 games, made him an All-Star.<\/p>\n However, he was unable to maintain that production after a trade to Philadelphia. The 32-year-old second baseman produced 35 home runs, 96 RBI and a career-high 4.9 fWAR. Lowe\u2019s prolific power at a premium position could fetch $25 million-plus annually, making him a top-10 free agent this winter.<\/p>\n The Pirates could make him a qualifying offer, which should be near $23 million for 2027. He also improved his defense, and Spotrac projects a deal near $110 million, making him a top bat available.<\/p>\n The Cubs are expected to extend a qualifying offer, though he\u2019ll likely decline it and test the market.
