Learning from the best

If you take a look at the public leagues, you can see the top managers in the world, both overall and in each leg. I took a look at the top five teams in the overall standings to see how they matched up against each other. There was a little more variety than I expected, but there were six players that featured in all five teams for MW8: two defenders, two midfielders and two forwards.

The six players in all five teams are: Ellie Carpenter (Chelsea), Andrea Medina (Man Utd), Lauren Hemp (Man City), Océane Hurtré (Birmingham), Bunny Shaw (Man City) and Alessia Russo (Arsenal).

As well as the variety of positions, there’s a variety of teams here. Five teams are represented, with Man City the only team with two players. There are also no players from London City, who are currently sitting comfortably in the top three in the BWSL table.

For comparison, I checked these against the top five teams in Leg 2, and all five have these six players in their teams. While we won’t know what changes are made to these teams until after Saturday’s deadline, it’s clear that owning those six players means you’re probably onto a winner.

[563
64,63,596,85
post-945302","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-football","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-football","tag-sports
["GET
