Carrie Bickmore<\/a> didn\u2019t seem to have a care in the world as she strutted through the Birdcage enclosure at Flemington Racecourse on Derby Day today.<\/p>\n

The radio icon, 45, and co-host Tommy Little called time on The Hit Network\u2019s Carrie and Tommy show<\/a> just two weeks ago, marking the end of a decade in radio together.<\/p>\n

Despite her tears during the announcement, and a jab at the network live on air<\/a> in the following days, Bickmore was all smiles at Derby Day.<\/p>\n

She led the celebrations at the luxe G.H. Mumm marquee with the iconic \u2018Tap Tap\u2019 moment and ended up showered in champagne in the process.<\/p>\n

Dressed in an off-white frock, matching hair bow, gold accessories and slim sunglasses, she managed to duck out of the main splash zone just in time.<\/p>\n

Bickmore and Little recently announced their show on the Hit Network will wrap up at the end of the year, marking another casualty in Australia\u2019s troubled radio industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter nearly 10 years of doing this amazing show, the Carrie and Tommy show is coming to an end,\u201d she said on the show on October 20.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve loved every minute of doing the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not every day you get to come and have a laugh and call it your job with your best mate and the funniest guy in the country, and that\u2019s what we\u2019ve got to do for the last decade.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two days later, she and Little poked fun at the network\u2019s seemingly AI-generated press release about their exit.<\/p>\n

The first error all agreed was simply “just a bit of a typo” when they spoke about Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer fundraising initiative as Brian cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI should point out I try to raise money for brain cancer, not just Brian\u2019s cancers, I don\u2019t specially focus on Brian\u2019s, I like to focus broader than that,\u201d Bickmore<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

They then looked down the list of their achievements that included a number of things they\u2019d never actually done, like an \u201cicy Tassie lake plunge\u201d and a \u201clegendary bus tour\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought, \u2018how did they get this information?\u2019 I thought, \u2018I know, let\u2019s get ChatGPT and let\u2019s type in what are Carrie and Tommy known for?\u2019\u201d Little said,<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that\u2019s where it mentions \u2013 and they spell brain cancer right \u2013 the campaign and \u2018braving an icy Tasmanian lake plunge\u2019. Surprise trips to Paris \u2013 yes, we did that. Caravan adventures \u2013 yes, we did that \u2013 around Queensland, \u2018and their popular mystery bus tours\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is a chance the information appearing in Little\u2019s ChatGPT search came from the press release itself, as opposed to the other way around.<\/p>\n
