A man has been charged with alleged high-range drink driving after returning a breath analysis reading five times the legal limit.

At about 9pm on Friday, New South Wales officers from Port Stephens-Hunter District were called to a petrol station on Richardson Road, north of Newcastle, following welfare concerns from members of the public.

Police located a 30-year-old man inside a ute with its engine running.

The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where a secondary breath analysis returned a reading of 0.250, five times the legal limit of 0.05.

The 30-year-old was issued a court attendance notice for driving with a high range prescribed concentration of alcohol and his licence was suspended.

He is expected to appear before Maitland local court on December 14.

A man has been charged with alleged high-range drink driving after returning a breath analysis reading five times…

[4
385344,434610,515290,515288,515282,515284,515286,377579,378724,515280,491904,515289,515292,515295,515279,515297,23321,515294,64,63,209365,254971,224695,5864,484728,515293,39598,82365,351475,505630,515283,309766,515287,38347,673,515291,515278,10668,44,515298,47,20246,1158,515281,515296,515285,95427,515300,378658,380576,515299
post-947701","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-australia","tag-the-30-year-old","tag-0-05","tag-0-250","tag-a-30-year-old-man","tag-a-breath-analysis","tag-a-court-attendance-notice","tag-a-high-range","tag-a-man","tag-a-member","tag-a-petrol-station","tag-a-positive-result","tag-a-reading","tag-a-roadside-breath-test","tag-a-secondary-breath-analysis","tag-a-ute","tag-about-9pm","tag-alcohol","tag-alleged-high-range-drink","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-breath","tag-concentration","tag-december-14","tag-driver","tag-five-times","tag-five-times-the-legal-limit","tag-friday","tag-google-maps","tag-high-range-drink-driving","tag-his-licence","tag-its-engine-running","tag-legal-limit","tag-maitland-local-court","tag-members","tag-new-south-wales","tag-new-south-wales-driver","tag-new-south-wales-officers","tag-newcastle","tag-news","tag-news-south-wales","tag-north","tag-picture","tag-police","tag-port-stephens-hunter-district","tag-raymond-terrace-police-station","tag-richardson-road","tag-the-driver","tag-the-legal-limit","tag-the-man","tag-the-public","tag-welfare-concerns
["GET
