Tyrese Haliburton talks recovering from injury with Caitlin Clark<\/p>\n
On Saturday, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton talked about recovering from injury alongside Fever star Caitlin Clark.<\/p>\n
Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and Fever star Caitlin Clark have worked out together as both recover from injuries.Clark has been sidelined since July 15 with a right groin injury.Haliburton tore his right Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in June.<\/p>\n
WESTFIELD \u2014 Indiana Pacer<\/a>\u00a0guard\u00a0Tyrese Haliburton<\/a>\u00a0and the Indiana Fever<\/a>‘s\u00a0Caitlin Clark<\/a>\u00a0have depended on each other as both recover from injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n The\u00a0Clark has\u00a0missed 14 straight games<\/a>\u00a0with a right groin injury, her fourth muscle injury of the season. Haliburton\u00a0tore his right Achilles tendon<\/a>\u00a0in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in June.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201dIt sucks that she\u2019s been hurt for as long as she has. But just for us to be able to communicate even in our recovery, we lift at the same time, so it\u2019s just us two in the weight room,\u201d Haliburton told reporters Saturday. \u201cWe spend a lot of time together. It\u2019s good to have each other to lean on in a time like right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Re-live Caitlin Clark’s spectacular rookie year with this book<\/a><\/p>\n Haliburton said, \u201cIt\u2019s very important\u201d to have someone to talk to during this time. Haliburton added that his relationship with Clark has grown outside of basketball, but said the two can relate to how defenses guard them on the court.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOur offensive (and) defensive issues are the same sometimes. Everything is really similar between us,\u201d Haliburton said.<\/p>\n The Pacers have ruled out Haliburton for the 2025-2026 NBA season. The Fever have eight games remaining on their schedule and are sixth in league standings. On Sunday,\u00a0reporters asked Fever coach Stephanie White<\/a>\u00a0if she anticipates Clark returning by the end of the regular season.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s the hope. The hope is that she\u2019s back,\u201d White replied.<\/p>\n At practice Thursday, White talked about Clark\u2019s desire to get back on the court.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s been really frustrating,\u201d\u00a0White said<\/a>. \u201cI mean, Caitlin wants to play, you know, she’s a competitor. She just wants to be on the floor. She just wants to play basketball. She’s in the mindset that she’s hungry, right, that she wants to be out there, and she wants to be with her team, and she’s working her butt off to get back in those situations.
