IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect<\/p>\n<p>The Post\u2019s Ryan Dunleavy confirmed that the Giants are interested in Taylor, and other teams listed in the report as believed to have expressed interest are the Broncos, Packers, Vikings and Seahawks.<\/p>\n<p>The Giants\u2019 running back rotation has been a problem all season. Najee Harris was released. Tyrone <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/10\/27\/sports\/tyrone-tracy-goes-on-ir-as-giants-running-back-churn-continues\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tracy Jr. is on injured reserve<\/a> with a hamstring injury that is not expected to be season-ending.<\/p>\n<p>Remaining in a running backs room that has not featured one lead back are Cam Skattebo \u2014 who was punished as recently as Week 6, when fumbling issues meant he didn\u2019t receive a carry \u2014 Devin Singletary and the recently signed Greg Desrosiers Jr., an undrafted back who was on the Chargers\u2019 practice squad.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor would be an immediate and proven upgrade with 8,185 career rushing yards, which is the second-most in Colts history.<\/p>\n<p>He is on a reasonable contract, due base salaries of $15 million next year and $9.46 million in 2028.<\/p>\n<p>He also is young enough that the Colts could envision he would be part of their next good team, but he would have plenty of value on the trade market and add to the draft hauls they already received for Nelson and Buckner.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.21040189;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"   data-modal-image=\"41609719\" width=\"714\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/new-york-giants-head-coach-146224383.jpg\" alt=\"New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh speaks to the media after practice.\" class=\"wp-image-41609719\"\/>New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh speaks to the media after practice in East Rutherford, N.J., Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. Charles Wenzelberg \/ New York Post<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/2116509111088992713\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">According to The Ringer<\/a>, the Colts have already rejected a package of a 2027 second-round draft pick plus an additional pick.<\/p>\n<p>ESPN reported the Colts could use the 2022 Christian McCaffrey trade as precedent.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers sent second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-round picks to the Panthers for the then-26-year-old star running back.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Taylor said he has not requested a trade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m always proud to wear the horseshoe,\u201d Taylor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7736447\/2026\/10\/29\/jonathan-taylor-colts-trade-rumors\/?unlocked_article_code=1.MVE.kDwZ.DE5n5O6ov99n&amp;source=emp_shared_article&amp;smid=ta-ios-share\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">told reporters<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Colts\u2019 fire sale could include a three-time Pro Bowler, and the Giants are interested.
