Add Android Authority on Google:

TL;DR

Samsung’s first pair of smart glasses with Android XR are expected to be available in the US by mid-December.

The smart glasses could initially be limited to select regions, including South Korea and the US, though they might expand to more markets next year.

Previous reports indicate that Samsung could launch these glasses around the end of November.

According to the Korean business publication Chosun Biz, the first pair of Samsung smart glasses with Android XR will be available starting mid-December, right in time for the Christmas gifting season. The smart glasses will first be available in Korea and the US, after which Samsung will evaluate launches for other regions. The report iterates that Samsung and Google have zeroed in on the name “Intelligent Eyewear” for the upcoming lineup.

The outlet adds that the Intelligent Eyewear lineup will initially skip other key markets for Samsung, including China, Japan, and Europe. However, it could expand to these markets in 2027.

Although Samsung and Google have already teased multiple designs for these glasses on several occasions, an extensive leak last month revealed all the designs available at launch. The leak also suggested these smart glasses would be lighter than Meta’s Ray-Ban and Oakley smart glasses, giving Samsung something to boast about.

Samsung’s first crop of smart glasses is also expected to lack an in-lens display and include multiple microphones and a camera that will observe and analyze the surroundings using Gemini. The glasses run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 chip and will likely support 3K video recording.

While Samsung’s first Galaxy XR mixed reality headset launched last year at $1,800, these glasses will likely cost much less. We’re still unsure of the final price, but expect it to be around or slightly less than Meta’s third-gen Ray-Ban glasses, which start at $449.

Andy Boxall / Android Authority Add Android Authority on Google: TL;DR Samsung’s first pair of smart glasses with…

[6
93684,64,63,113,1047,1774,105
post-951213","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-technology","tag-android-xr","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-google","tag-samsung","tag-smart-glasses","tag-technology
["GET
!["Samsung]("https://www.newsbeep.com/au/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/Screenshot-2026-10-13-at-3.30.31-PM.png"/ ""Screenshot")
