No other plot details have been revealed, but it\u2019s safe to presume there\u2019ll be guns, blood and \u2014\u00a0probably \u2014\u00a0some mean-looking faces. Production is due to commence n early 2027, with filming taking place in the U.K.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLike almost all of their previous collaborations, Ritchie will write, direct and produce, while Statham will star. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tProduction companies on \u201cDogfight\u201d are Black Bear Pictures, behind most of Ritchie\u2019s recent titles (including his latest releases \u201cIn the Grey\u201d and \u201cWife &amp; Dog\u201d) plus Ritchie\u2019s own Toff Guy Films and Statham\u2019s Punch Palace Productions. Producers include Ritchie, Statham, Ritchie\u2019s Toff Guy partner Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg from Black Bear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cDogfight\u201d lengthens a long-running and hugely successful relationship between the director and his action star, which began when Ritchie gave Statham his first film role in his 1998 directorial debut \u201cLock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.\u201d This partnership would continue with \u201cSnatch,\u201d \u201cRevolver,\u201d \u201cWrath of Man\u201d and \u201cOperation Fortune: Rose de Guerre.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe pair\u2019s latest feature together, announced last year by Variety, is the action-thriller \u201cViva La Madness,\u201d based on J.J. Connolly\u2019s novel and the author\u2019s sequel to \u201cLayer Cake,\u201d which was adapted into the 2004 film by Matthew Vaughn. However, while plot details have been kept under wraps, \u201cViva La Madness\u201d has been described as a standalone film and not a continuation of previous work.
