Here are two new iOS 27.2 features I\u2019ve been loving lately.<\/p>\n<p>#1: Podcasts introduces \u2018New Episodes\u2019 and \u2018Continue Playing\u2019 sections<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/apple-podcasts-ios-27-2-home.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1071973\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve used Apple Podcasts for the last few years after previously sticking with third-party apps. The native Podcasts app won me over with excellent features like <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2024\/05\/02\/podcast-transcripts-killer-feature\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">transcripts<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2025\/11\/06\/ios-26-2s-new-apple-podcasts-feature-makes-the-app-very-hard-to-resist\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">automatic chapters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My main hesitation in recommending the Podcasts app, however, has been its confusing Up Next queue. Thankfully, iOS 27.2 delivers a long-awaited fix.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In iOS 27.2, the Home tab in Apple Podcasts splits Up Next into two separate sections: New Episodes and Continue Playing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These new sections offer, in my view, a much better system than what was there before. I no longer lose track of episodes I\u2019ve previously started, since they\u2019re not getting replaced by new episodes in my queue. Instead, there\u2019s a clear divide between what\u2019s new and what\u2019s in-progress.<\/p>\n<p>#2: Apple Photos makes Shared Albums even better<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/apple-photos-app-icon-ios-27-colors.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1064521\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shared Albums have long been one of my favorite features in Apple Photos. I don\u2019t post on social media often, but I do love sharing photos and videos with close family and friends via the Photos app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">iOS 27 brought <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/10\/15\/apple-photos-in-ios-27-upgrades-one-of-my-favorite-features-in-a-big-way\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1066597\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">big upgrades to Shared Albums<\/a>, the first notable changes in years. And to my surprise, Apple has already introduced even more improvements with iOS 27.2. <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/149076\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Per Apple<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shared Albums in Photos adds the ability to edit captions and comments, to avoid adding duplicate photos, and can display a reminder before albums expire so participants can save important photos and videos<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Support for editing captions and comments is long overdue, but a welcome addition. I also love the prompt that helps prevent duplicate photos, because I always find myself needing to double-check if I\u2019ve shared certain photos already\u2014now I don\u2019t have to anymore.<\/p>\n<p>iOS 27.2 honorable mentions: iPhone Duo features, Find My, CarPlay, and more<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/iphone-duo-apple-pencil.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1075178\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are a ton of other great additions in iOS 27.2, which you can read about below:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What are your favorite iOS 27.2 features so far?
