Abbie Chatfield has been outspoken on topics of politics, feminist, and Donald Trump \u2014 something she laments has come at a cost.<\/p>\n

Speaking with ABC Australia, the Aussie TV personality and outspoken political advocate, 32, says she has faced a barrage of online and real-life harassment<\/a> that has her seriously considering leaving Australia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been doxxed. I\u2019ve had people try to get me fired from jobs, people threatening to stab me to death, to kill me, to strangle me, getting excited at the thought of the light leaving my eyes, and posting my address publicly,” she told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Chatfield also claimed that her partner, Australian musician Adam Hyde, receives regular threats of physical violence in public from men as well as harassed on the streets because of his association with the controversial star.<\/p>\n

The Aussie TV personality and outspoken political advocate says that while the threats used to be confined to the internet, it\u2019s become \u201cmore a real-life thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

She attributes the real-life threat to her life to the election of Donald Trump, who she believes has emboldened people who want to threaten and harass people who disagree with them into silence.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s something the TV star says is difficult to navigate because you can\u2019t just decide to stop leaving your house.<\/p>\n

However, Chatfield says just ignoring it isn\u2019t an option either, because people who face threats of political violence do sometimes get killed.<\/p>\n

Through tears, Chatfield said she can\u2019t do anything without people creating a headline that will encourage violence towards her or her partner, citing out of context reactions she had to divisive topics like the Charlie Kirk assassination.<\/p>\n

Chatfield clarified that her reaction to Kirk\u2019s assassination was to say that she hated the conservative TPUSA founder but expressed her belief that political violence is not good for anybody.<\/p>\n

The former Bachelor star claims the media running irrelevant photos and clickbait headlines about her \u201chate for Charlie Kirk\u201d made her unsafe as she alleges her address was leaked and she faced threats of violence, rape, and sexual assault.<\/p>\n

Other forms of intimidation, she claims, included people making AI deepfake porn using Chatfield’s likeness.<\/p>\n

She says the only boundary she can put in place \u2014 avoiding her DMs \u2014 is also a source of fear.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen I fear that I\u2019m going to miss someone telling me they\u2019re going to come kill me and then I\u2019m not going to know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chatfield says she doesn\u2019t know what to do with it because she\u2019s had cops laugh at her, adding \u201cthe only option is to move countries,” after claiming there is “extreme, violent misogyny” in Australia.<\/p>\n

However, right-leaning political commentator Drew Pavlou has his suspicions that something else is afoot.<\/p>\n

The Australian political activist took to X to call the ABC interview “more propaganda.”<\/p>\n

He says this is just another ploy to push the digital duty of care bill, which Pavlou says is “designed to censor the right wing.”<\/p>\n

Pavlou added the interview feeds into the narrative conservatives in Australia are the ones who are violent, radical, and extremist but left out the fact that Chatfield herself is a supporter of “far-left political violence,” he claimed.<\/p>\n

Pavlou cited a video in which Pavlou claims Chatfield called for the political assassination of the American president.<\/p>\n

Chatfield posted a controversial TikTok following the assassination of a United Healthcare CEO in New York in 2024.<\/p>\n

Chatfield said: “Americans, when are you going to do it? Why is it not already done? Everyday there is another [assassination] happening,” making a gun sign with her hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight?\u201d she continues. \u201cAwful for your country. Awful, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy don\u2019t you redirect this energy to something else, you know?<\/p>\n

“There\u2019s always incels who go \u2018no one wants to f*** me\u2019 so then they go and do [handgun gesture].<\/p>\n

“You know what would actually make people respect you a little bit and make people want to f*** you is if you did it,\u201d adding that \u201cyou\u2019d get heaps of fan mail,\u201d and \u201cjust do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Chatfield has since deleted and apologised<\/a> for the video, claiming it was a joke about incels taken out of context.<\/p>\n

News24 has reached out to Abbie Chatfield in relation to this story.<\/p>\n

Drew Pavlou said in a comment to News24.com.au: “It’s ridiculous that our national broadcaster is holding this lady up on some kind of pedestal when she has a long history of advocating for far-left violence and political assassinations.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, Pavlou added he “forcefully condemns any violent threat against Abby Chatfield and any deep fakes harassing her.”<\/p>\n

He added: “Anybody who violently threatens Abby Chatfield or any other prominent left-wing commentator in Australia should be met with the full force of Australian criminal law. We are not hypocrites.\u201d<\/p>\n
