Can Jason Norris be stopped? That is the question facing the other 107 players in the field as Richmond Golf Club hosts the Australian PGA Senior Championship for the 12th time this week.

Victorious at the NSW Senior Open for the first time on Sunday, Norris returns to Richmond having won two of the past three PGA Senior championships, including a commanding five-stroke win in 2023.

A constant presence on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia for the past 30 years – a span that includes two wins – Norris has been a dominant force since joining the PGA Legends Tour in 2022.

Along with twin wins at the PGA Senior Championship and his most recent NSW Senior Open victory, Norris also finished second to Leon Trenerry as the Australian Senior Open returned to the schedule and now leads the 2026 PGA Legends Tour Order of Merit.

While Norris may be entitled to outright favouritism, there are a host of credentialled competitors ready to challenge his recent run of form.

Like Norris, Andre Stolz is a two-time champion at Richmond and is one of three PGA TOUR winners in the field. Others with wins on international tours on their resumes include Terry Pilkadaris, Peter O’Malley, Brendan Jones, Steven Conran and Wayne Perske.

It is not just the Aussies lining up for a shot at glory in Richmond with players from the United States, England, South Africa, Chile, New Zealand and Canada also in the field.

Richmond Golf Club first hosted the Australian PGA Senior Championship for three years from 2013 to 2015 and then returned in 2018, where it has been played ever since.

In addition to having Jason Norris’s name engraved on it twice, the Australian PGA Senior Championship trophy boasts legendary names including six-time major winner Lee Trevino (1996), Billy Dunk (1989, 1995), Terry Gale (1997, 2006) and Peter Senior (2009, 2019).

To be played over 54-holes starting Friday, the final two rounds of the Australian PGA Senior Championship will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 503 and Kayo Sports from 3pm Saturday AEDT and 1pm Sunday AEDT.
