Marcel Johnson was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in August 2025, which later spread to his liver, and began sharing his cancer journey on TikTok.<\/p>\n
He soon attracted a large following after his candid, raw and confronting posts about his illness resonated with people across the globe.<\/p>\n
Marcel\u2019s wife Taylor confirmed his death on TikTok, revealing that her beloved \u201csoul mate\u201d died peacefully in hospice care at 4.45pm on Monday.<\/p>\n
\u201cI lost a whole entire half of me. He fought so hard for so long. He was so tired & exhausted & in so much pain,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Taylor shared that on the morning of his passing, Marcel told his loved ones: \u201cI\u2019m ready to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe still fought to hang on all day, so we just got a bit more time,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cI truly don\u2019t even have words right now. I feel like this can\u2019t be real life. How can this be real f..king life?<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought I was going to wake up and he was still going to be here beside me. I love him with my whole entire being and life will absolutely never ever be the same.\u201d<\/p>\n
Thousands of TikTok users took to the comments section of Taylor\u2019s video, which has been viewed by more than 8.5 million people, to send their love to the heartbroken family.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy dear, I am so incredibly sorry,\u201d one fan said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMarcel has been a huge motivation for me during my own cancer journey and words cannot express how sorry I am and how grateful I am for the strength he showed. I\u2019m so sorry. I am praying for you and the kids. This is heartbreaking.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another wrote: \u201cWe love you your internet family is forever here.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe don\u2019t want flying cars we need treatment for cancer,\u201d a third added.<\/p>\n
Another follower said: \u201cHe\u2019s resting no more suffering!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Just two days before his death, Taylor warned social media users to stop disseminating false information about Marcel.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would really appreciate it if you guys stop posting that Marcel has passed away while I\u2019m lying there with him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just disgusting to see this s..t.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s very much alive right now<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you don\u2019t have anything positive to say, just don\u2019t say it.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlease stop sharing stuff if you don\u2019t know if it\u2019s real or not. Honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n
Marcel is survived by his wife and their five young sons.<\/p>\n
