JADE is feeling “overwhelmed” and “overjoyed” after the success of Angel of My Dreams.<\/p>\n
\nThe 33-year-old pop star, whose full name is Jade Thirlwall, has responded after her 2024 hit went viral on TikTok after being featured in the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 18, when the tune soundtracked Kylie Jenner’s walk down the runway in VS’ $50 million Fantasy Bra.<\/p>\n
\nResponding to the reaction, JADE told PEOPLE magazine: “I’m feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, overjoyed and over the moon. Never over it, though.”<\/p>\n
\nThe former Little Mix star first dropped the song as the lead single for her debut solo album That’s Showbiz, Baby!<\/p>\n
\nShe has described approving the request from Victoria’s Secret to use the song this year as a “fleeting moment” which she didn’t focus too much on.<\/p>\n
\nAlthough she didn’t tune into the fashion show live because she “probably did something really boring, like an early night”, JADE was blown away by the reaction overnight.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “It\u2019s been such a whirlwind of a week, and I\u2019m still sort of getting my head around it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNaturally, her record label is “so excited” by the song’s success two years on.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “We were all joking in our label chat that we\u2019ve prayed for times like these and the memes of The Office when they\u2019re all scrambling to jump on it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJADE joked that Angel of My Dreams was “a worldwide phenomenon of a pop song” from the beginning, while she’s delighted to see it get “its second wind”.<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, she was curious “which gay man is behind this happening”, which ended up being Victoria’s Secret chief creative officer Adam Selman.<\/p>\n
\nHe got in touch on social media to reveal he picked the, and he’s a “genuine fan”.<\/p>\n
\nJADE added: “It feels even better that the person that chose it actually loved the song from its release.<\/p>\n
\n“It wasn\u2019t just someone typing in \u2018angel songs\u2019 on Spotify and seeing what lands.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, JADE has promised her second solo album will be “brave and bold”.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to NME, she said: “I can’t say too much without giving it away, but it’s just very honest again about my experiences this year, whatever I’ve been going through and still brave, bold and a bit of pop punch to the face.”<\/p>\n
\nJADE explained that she’s been “busy writing” with producer and collaborator Mike Sabbath over the summer.<\/p>\n
\nShe teased: “We’ve been doing a lot over the summer in between the little breaks and the festival run.<\/p>\n
\n“I’ve been getting in the studio with him, writing what we can, and I’m going to LA in a couple of weeks to start solidifying what this is going to sound like.<\/p>\n
