IT won\u2019t be in a main game capacity, but there will again be a NASCAR\/Supercar crossover at this year\u2019s bp Adelaide Grand Final.<\/p>\n

V8 Sleuth has verified that Jesse Love<\/a> is returning for a second successive Adelaide Super2 cameo with Image Racing.<\/p>\n

The American last year did a solid job on debut, outqualifying a trio of regulars for his maiden race, and finishing the next day\u2019s contest in 14th.<\/p>\n

That all came hot on the heels of Love pipping Connor Zilisch to the NASCAR Xfinity Series crown.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old will this weekend bid to make it back-to-back titles in the second tier, which has been renamed the NASCAR O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts Series. He heads to Homestead-Miami Speedway sitting second in the standings, 22 points back from Justin Allgaier.<\/p>\n

It has already been confirmed that Love will leave the Richard Childress Racing stable at year\u2019s end to join Ford outfit Wood Brothers Racing for a full 2027 Cup Series campaign.<\/p>\n

Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric<\/a> last year raced a Tickford Mustang wildcard in the Supercars Championship action at Adelaide; General Motors and Toyota had separately voiced interest in putting together a similar program for this year before both pulling the pin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sandown hosts the penultimate round of the Super2 Series this weekend.<\/p>\n
