Dolly Parton\u2019s<\/a> estate has dropped its lawsuit against the country icon\u2019s nephew and former head of security, Bryan Seaver, who announced the star\u2019s death in August as per her request. <\/p>\n

The estate, which is managed by She\u2019s Alive LLC, filed a notice of voluntary dismissal of its lawsuit against Seaver in a Tennessee court on Thursday, according to multiple US outlets.<\/p>\n

Seaver had acted as Dolly\u2019s head of security for more than two decades before his role was terminated following her death. \u00a0Getty\/Internet<\/p>\n

It was filed without prejudice, meaning the estate could choose to file the suit again if they wish. <\/p>\n

The suit being dropped comes after weeks of back and forth between the She\u2019s Alive LLC, operated by Parton\u2019s long-time manager Danny Nozell, and Seaver in court. <\/p>\n

She\u2019s Alive made a number of accusations about Seaver in its case, including claiming Parton\u2019s former head of security made threats relating to his military background. <\/p>\n

They also alleged his behaviour lead to multiple employees resigning. <\/p>\n

Following the news that the suit has been dropped, Seaver\u2019s lawyers released a statement to TMZ, writing he is ready to put the \u201cmisunderstanding\u201d behind him. <\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Seaver cares deeply about his Aunt Dolly, her music, her family, and the incredible legacy she left behind,\u201d the statement reads. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe has made a career out of protecting his aunt while she was alive and remains committed to Dolly and his entire family. <\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Seaver is grateful to put this misunderstanding behind him so that the entire family can continue to grieve peacefully and ensure that the bright light of Dolly\u2019s legacy remains entirely untouched.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parton\u2019s manager is handling her estate following her passing. \u00a0Getty<\/p>\n

He previously denied threatening anyone, but admitted to used \u201cprofane language\u201d towards Nozell, which he alleges was taken out of context in the court proceeding. <\/p>\n

Seaver was fired from his long-held position as the music legend\u2019s head of security last month after allegedly threatening to \u201cdestroy\u201d Parton\u2019s legacy and making repeated violent threats toward staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn writing, he vowed to \u2018destroy the entire brand\u2019 and also told her entertainment attorney: \u2018I\u2019m not an entertainment person. I\u2019m a killer,\u2019\u201d one filing read.<\/p>\n

The files claim Seaver\u2019s alleged behaviour led to his dismissal, and he was served a temporary restraining order and a lawsuit by She\u2019s Alive on September 23, almost a month to the day after Parton\u2019s death in August.<\/p>\n

He has denied all the allegations against him and called the legal action against him a \u201cpublicity stunt\u201d.<\/p>\n

Parton\u2019s estate is estimated to be wroth $US450 million ($600 million). \u00a0Getty Images<\/p>\n

\u201cI was fired. After the estate negotiated with me and my company for services in perpetuity and agreed to that service provision from my company,\u201d he said in a statement shared with US ABC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA week later they fired me for these contrived \u2018threats.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryan was the one who announced Parton\u2019s death to the world, in a video posted to social media, which was a request made by Parton prior to her passing. <\/p>\n

Nine.com.au<\/a>\u00a0is not suggesting any wrongdoing has occurred and\u00a0has contacted Parton\u2019s long-time manager, Danny Nozell, and Seaver for comment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
