Adelaide-based voice ordering platform DineLine has launched at Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante in the city\u2019s East End.<\/p>\n

DineLine is an AI-powered voice ordering system designed to take phone orders automatically. The platform aims to reduce missed calls and free up staff time by handling ordering without staff involvement.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2024, the company promotes itself as an alternative to delivery platforms that charge high commissions. It also allows restaurants to keep full ownership of their customer information, without interference from the company.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough DineLine\u2019s technology is ready for the global stage, launching in Adelaide was an intentional decision,\u201d said Frank Hannon-Tan, co-owner of Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante and official spokesperson for DineLine.<\/p>\n

Amalfi has adopted the technology, with Hannon-Tan noting that it costs $3.50 an hour, while the business is open.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a game-changer for us, given how efficient it is as a service, the low cost, and the fact there are no setup fees or commissions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means our staff can focus on preparing food and drinks and serving customers, instead of running to answer the phone every few minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lord Mayor Jane Lomax-Smith attended the launch to support the initiative.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know how tough it can be to make ends meet in hospitality, and this is technology that is going to make a positive difference at an affordable price,\u201d said the Lord Mayor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a bit old-fashioned and still prefer to talk over the phone, so DineLine is something I will certainly be using to order food or to book a table.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur city also has a growing number of international residents and visitors who don\u2019t speak English as a first language, and I just love how DineLine speaks more than 21 languages.\u201d<\/p>\n
