{"id":97198,"date":"2025-08-26T13:18:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T13:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/97198\/"},"modified":"2025-08-26T13:18:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T13:18:09","slug":"nine-appoints-chief-strategy-officer-streaming-and-broadcast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/97198\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine appoints Chief Strategy Officer, Streaming and Broadcast."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tFormer Head of Optus Sport Howard Rees joins Nine.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Nine\u2019s Managing Director of Streaming &amp; Broadcast Amanda Laing has appointed Howard Rees as its Chief Strategy Officer \u2013 Streaming and Broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently he has been Head of Optus Sport, which wound up as a subscription service earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>He has more than 20 years\u2019 experience, including 5 years as Director of Strategy at Foxtel Group, across Foxtel, Binge and Kayo.  <\/p>\n<p>As Chief Strategy Officer, he will be responsible for strategic development and business planning; driving strategic decisions regarding content strategy and innovation; the monetisation and value proposition of the streaming and broadcast brands; and market intelligence and insights. <\/p>\n<p>He will also work closely with the Nine Group Strategy division, ensuring collaboration and coordination in decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>He begins with Nine tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Former Head of Optus Sport Howard Rees joins Nine.
