The Athletic\u2019s David Ornstein has revealed Kobbie Mainoo\u2019s decision on leaving Manchester United before this summer window closes.<\/p>\n
Mainoo\u2019s future at Man Utd<\/a> is in serious doubt as he has been an unused substitute in the club\u2019s first two Premier League games of the 2025\/26 campaign.<\/p>\n Head coach Ruben Amorim is clearly not sold on Mainoo <\/a>as he opted to bring on Manuel Ugarte over the England international to replace Mason Mount in the closing stages of Sunday\u2019s 1-1 draw against Fulham.<\/p>\n Mainoo has suffered a fall from grace following his extraordinary breakout season in 2023\/24 as injuries and a loss of form have seen him fall in the pecking order at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n Man Utd were open to cashing in on their academy product in January as they looked to sanction pure profit sales to balance the books and while a proposed move to Chelsea did not accelerate, it has been suggested that he could move elsewhere before this transfer shuts next Monday.<\/p>\n READ:\u00a0Man Utd transfer to be completed \u2018within 48 hours\u2019 after \u20ac45m package is sealed<\/a><\/p>\n Following Amorim\u2019s latest snub of Mainoo, a report from talkSPORT claimed that the centre-midfielder would be \u2018willing\u2019 to leave if a \u2018suitable offer\u2019 arrives in the coming days.<\/a><\/p>\n Now, Ornstein has confirmed to The Athletic that<\/a> Mainoo is \u2018open to leaving\u2019 Man Utd, though an \u2018issue\u2019 needs to be overcome for him to move elsewhere.<\/p>\n \u2018Kobbie Mainoo is open to leaving Manchester United.
