It’s going to be the opportunity of a lifetime for San Antonio’s very own Rick Medina.<\/p>\n
The Lanier ex hasn’t fought since Christmas Eve but he got a win on that most holy night and will now fight Oscar Valdez, the former world champion in two weight divisions.<\/p>\n
And it’s coming up quick. September 6th!<\/p>\n
Rick’s 16-3 and this is one of those moments he’s been training for since he was a little kid.<\/p>\n
Both guys will be fighting in the in the 132-pound weight class.<\/p>\n
But Rick’s going into the lion’s den on September 6th, fighting in Valdes’ hometown of Nogales, Mexico, which is just south of Tucson, Arizona.<\/p>\n
