Third-straight day win for Josep Garcia<\/p>\n
In the outright individual classification,\u00a0Spain\u2019s Josep Garcia (KTM) claimed his third consecutive day win. The Spaniard came out swinging this morning to win the opening special test before\u00a0Italy\u2019s Andrea Verona fought back with the quickest time\u00a0on the second special test. However,\u00a0Garcia regained control, sweeping the remaining four tests of the day, to win by eight seconds.<\/p>\n
With\u00a0Verona second,\u00a0Sweden\u2019s\u00a0Mikael Persson (Triumph)\u00a0fared well to place third. Italy\u2019s\u00a0Samuele Bernardini (Honda)\u00a0and\u00a0Morgan Lesiardo (Triumph)\u00a0rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n
Garcia was also the best of the Enduro1 class riders, taking the category win by a healthy fifty-two seconds over\u00a0Persson in second.\u00a0Bernardini and Lesiardo were third and fourth, respectively, while\u00a0France\u2019s Leo Joyon (Beta)\u00a0completed the top five.<\/p>\n
Verona secured a one-minute-and-twenty-second margin of victory in the Enduro2 class, but behind him the remainder of the top-five positions were split by just ten seconds.\u00a0Sweden\u2019s Albin Norrbin (Fantic)\u00a0edged out the\u00a0United States\u2019 Dante Oliveira (KTM)\u00a0by one second to claim the runner-up result, With Oliveira third,\u00a0Spain\u2019s Sergio Navarro (Husqvarna)\u00a0was less than one-second behind him in fourth, with\u00a0Italy\u2019s Manolo Morettini (Honda) fifth.<\/p>\n
The battle for\u00a0Enduro3 class honours was extremely tight, with the top three split by less than ten seconds.\u00a0France\u2019s Leo Le Quere (TM MOTO) took his second Enduro3\u00a0win of the week, beating his fellow countryman\u00a0Julien Roussaly (Sherco)\u00a0by seven seconds.\u00a0Italy\u2019s Kevin Cristino (Fantic)\u00a0finished third.\u00a0Spain\u2019s Alejandro Navarro (GASGAS)\u00a0and\u00a0Australia\u2019s Josh Strang (Beta)\u00a0rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n
In the Women\u2019s class, it was a memorable victory for\u00a0Australia\u2019s Danielle McDonald (Yamaha). The young eighteen-year-old delivered a fantastic performance on Day Three to top the classification by a strong forty-two seconds.
