President Donald Trump<\/a> railed against \u201cLate Night\u201d host Seth Meyers<\/a> in a wild social media post he fired off in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a sick rumor going around that Fake News NBC extended the contract of one of the least talented Late Night television hosts out there, Seth Meyers,\u201d Trump wrote<\/a> on Truth Social<\/a> shortly before 2 a.m. ET. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear what \u201csick rumor\u201d the president was referring to, as there are no current reports of contract negotiations between Meyers and the network. Such talks wouldn\u2019t necessarily be expected right now: His contract was extended last year and now runs through 2028, as Deadline reported at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the president was livid just the same. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe has no Ratings, Talent, or Intelligence, and the Personality of an insecure child,\u201d he wrote early Wednesday. \u201cSo, why would Fake News NBC extend this dope\u2019s contract. I don\u2019t know, but I\u2019ll definitely be finding out!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump didn\u2019t explain why the president of the United States would \u201cdefinitely\u201d need to find out about a late night TV host\u2019s contract status, but it may be a not-so-veiled threat given that this latest rant comes days after he said ABC and NBC should have their broadcast licenses revoked<\/a> and \u201cpay up BIG.\u201d <\/p>\n

Trump has already sued ABC and CBS, and won multimillion-dollar settlements from each. He\u2019s also repeatedly attacked Meyers and all of the other late night hosts who make fun of him. <\/p>\n

During his first term, Trump reportedly tried<\/a> to have Disney, the owners of ABC, censor Jimmy Kimmel<\/a>.
