{"id":99687,"date":"2025-08-27T13:05:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T13:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/99687\/"},"modified":"2025-08-27T13:05:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T13:05:07","slug":"toto-wolff-makes-feelings-clear-as-valtteri-bottas-signs-with-cadillac-f1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/99687\/","title":{"rendered":"Toto Wolff makes feelings clear as Valtteri Bottas signs with\u00a0Cadillac\u00a0F1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toto Wolff has spoken in support of Valtteri Bottas as he gets set to return to the Formula 1 grid next season with Cadillac.<\/p>\n<p>Bottas was announced as part of the inaugural line-up for the American marque from next season, along with Sergio Perez, as both drivers get set to rejoin the grid after a year on the sidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Wolff: Valtteri Bottas \u2018still has so much to offer\u2019 in Formula 1<\/p>\n<p>Additional reporting by Mat Coch<\/p>\n<p>After being unable to secure a race seat for the 2025 season, Bottas returned to Mercedes in a reserve capacity as he offers valuable feedback on the team\u2019s current car, alongside offering support to the team\u2019s teenage rookie, Kimi Antonelli, in his first season in Formula 1.<\/p>\n<p>Wolff has spoken before about his desire to see the Finn make a permanent return to Formula 1, having been thought to have been in talks with both Cadillac and Alpine over a 2026 drive.<\/p>\n<p>With his future now confirmed, Wolff was praised by Cadillac team boss Graeme Lowdon for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/team\/mercedes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mercedes<\/a>\u2018 handling of the move, and the Silver Arrows\u2019 CEO spoke in support of seeing Bottas back in the field next season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is great to see Valtteri regain his place on the F1 grid for next year,\u201d Wolff said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe still has so much to offer as a racing driver and deserves to be lining up in Melbourne for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p>More on Cadillac\u2019s driver confirmation<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/cadillac-team-boss-bottas-perez-f1-experience\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cadillac boss assures Bottas, Perez signing about \u2018way, way more\u2019 than experience<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/features\/cadillac-f1-everything-you-need-to-know\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cadillac F1: Everything you need to know about the new 11th team<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will of course be sad to see him go.
