Portions of Route 20 were closed for two hours due to the fire.

LAKE VIEW, N.Y. — Fire crews responded to a fire at a golf cart retailer and garage off of Route 20 in Lakeview Tuesday evening.

According to early reports, crews responded to a fire in a garage at Golf Carts Unlimited in Lakeview at around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night.

A portion of Route 20 in Hamburg was closed in both directions due to the fire.

Erie County hazmat crews were reportedly called to the scene of the fire as a precautionary measure due to the garage containing tools with lithium ion batteries. 

There were reportedly no injuries and no evacuations were made.

Route 20 was reopened at around 8:45 p.m.
