Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are in talks with the representatives of Adrien Rabiot over a summer deal, according to RMC Sports journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
The two Premier League clubs want to strengthen in the middle of the park, and the Marseille midfielder has emerged as a target.
Rabiot has been told to leave the Ligue 1 club following a post-match altercation with Jonathan Rowe earlier this month, and Spurs and Villa are looking to swoop.

Former Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris once dubbed the 30-year-old a ‘very elegant player’ who ‘works incredibly hard and covers a lot of ground’.
With Yves Bissouma close to joining Galatasaray, the London club needs a replacement.
Rabiot, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, offers the much-needed experience and quality Spurs need as they look to bolster their squad depth in midfield.
He has won 22 trophies across 14 seasons as a professional footballer, and having him in their dressing room could teach Tottenham players a thing or two about the art of winning silverware.
The France international could be available for a decent fee with Marseille looking to sell him as fast as they can, but Spurs will face competition from several suitors.
West Ham United also want to sign Rabiot. Galatasaray and Inter Milan are monitoring his situation.
The availability of Champions League football at Tottenham could work in their favour as he loves to play in the elite European competition.
Agreeing personal terms with him could be tricky as his agent – his mother – is known to be a tough negotiator, but a deal can be struck if both parties are willing to make something work.
