Lane Hutson is already without question an elite National Hockey League player, but if he grows even a little more, he’ll simply be unstoppable.
If we remember correctly, right after the 2022 NHL Draft (where he was selected 62nd overall in the second round), we learned that Hutson’s “normal” physical growth was impacted by a rare condition, and that he was expected to continue growing for a while longer.
All signs point to Hutson still growing at age 21!
A new photo, taken in the past few days, clearly seems to show that the Canadiens defenseman has gotten taller and bulkier.
He even appears to be as tall and physically imposing as captain Nick Suzuki-if not more!A Photo of Lane Hutson With Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki Is Sparking Buzz
In these images, Hutson looks much closer to Nick Suzuki’s 5-foot-11 frame than to Cole Caufield’s 5-foot-8.
And no, it’s not just because Suzuki is slouching or anything like that.
We’re really looking forward to seeing this at the Montreal Canadiens’ next training camp, with the official measurements, but it genuinely looks like Lane Hutson has grown in both height and muscle mass.
The last official update had Hutson listed at 5-foot-9 and 162 pounds.
Note that these images were taken during a Bauer Hockey photo shoot.
Lane Hutson doesn’t need to grow or bulk up to be an elite NHL player, but let’s just say-it certainly wouldn’t hurt.
