Sony Pictures Classics has premiered a second teaser for “Nuremberg,” the new historical drama film surrounding the events leading up to the war crimes trials held in the wake of World War II.
Nearly two dozen of the most important surviving leaders of Nazi Germany in the political, military, and economic spheres, as well as six German organizations, were put on trial.
The film, based on Jack El-Hai’s novel “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist,” stars Rami Malek as a psychiatrist who interviews Nazi prisoners to determine whether they are fit to stand trial.
He soon becomes locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe).
Michael Shannon stars as the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson, who must ensure the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust.
“Zodiac” and “The Amazing Spider-Man” scribe James Vanderbilt pens and directs the film which also stars Richard E. Grant, Colin Hanks, Leo Woodall, John Slattery, Lotte Verbeek, Mark O’Brien, Wrenn Schmidt and Andreas Pietschmann.
“Nuremberg” opens in cinemas on November 7th.
