Gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has said he will mark his 44th birthday on Friday by hosting a worship session with inmates at the Kirikiri Medium Security Prison in Lagos.
Bassey, in a post on his Instagram page, revealed that the event will feature a one-day edition of the globally recognised Halleluyah Challenge, which he initiated in 2017.
“Tomorrow for my birthday, I praise and celebrate with my brethren in prison,” he wrote.
The Halleluyah Challenge has over the years become one of Africa’s most influential online prayer and worship gatherings, drawing thousands of Christians nightly for a dedicated hour of praise.
It has also inspired widespread testimonies of healing, deliverance, and answered prayers from participants across the world.
Bassey, known for hit worship songs such as Onise Iyanu and Imela, has built a reputation for using his ministry to foster community, revival, and unity among Christians both in Nigeria and internationally.
