Android Auto has a history of being finicky, especially with new phones, and that’s what some Pixel 10 owners are noticing out of the box.
Pixel 10 phones are starting to arrive on doorsteps this week and, with that, early buyers are running into an immediate issue. For some reason, it seems there are some issues with Android Auto connections on Google’s latest release.
The issue, as reported by users on Google’s forums and Reddit, leaves the car’s display with just an Android Auto logo on display. The actual Android Auto interface doesn’t appear, though audio from music apps does come up.
Some users do note that leaving the device connected and on this screen for a few minutes does end up showing the Android Auto interface, but it’s apparently laggy. We’ve not yet tested this on our end, but it’s certainly not out of the question. As mentioned, problems with Android Auto on brand new phones aren’t particularly uncommon. There were similar reports on last year’s Pixel 9 series, as well as the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year.

Google will likely fix this in the near future. Last year, the first monthly update for Pixel 9 included Android Auto fixes.
