As the world mentally prepares for another intense Wicked press tour, Ariana Grande has something else in mind. On Wednesday, she dropped a cryptic, non-Glindafied video on her Instagram feed, teasing, “See you next year …” Twenty-four hours later, Grande revealed what the fuss was about: She’ll be going on tour for her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, two years after its release.
Although her initial post didn’t give much away, the Arianators caught on quick. “I knew I felt a shift in the universe a few minutes ago,” one commented on the teaser, while another declared, “WE WILL BE THERE!” When she finally confirmed her tour with a post of the upcoming dates, one commenter put it best: “WE HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOR GOOD.”
This will be Grande’s first tour in seven years. The last time she voyaged across the globe to promote her work — besides for Wicked, which took her everywhere from the Met Gala to Kim Kardashian’s house — was for Sweetener in 2019. She’ll be performing in North America and London, and the first presale for tickets will begin on September 9. I have one question: Will SpongeBob be there?
