Shots were fired at a vehicle with two people inside, hitting and injuring one, outside a home in Airdrie, which RCMP say was a targeted incident.

It happened on July 14 along Langholm Drive at around 6 p.m.

Mounties say the individual struck was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Meanwhile, police say the suspect’s vehicle was stolen and was later found on fire in a nearby alley on Ravenswood View.

There is no ongoing threat to the public because the attack is believed to be targeted.

Investigators are asking residents in the areas of Langholm Drive, Ravenswood View, and Yankee Valley Boulevard–who haven’t already spoken with police–to review any surveillance or dashcam footage from that time for anything unusual.
