Queen Latifah made a rare appearance with her young son, Rebel.
On Aug. 25, the pair stepped out in Brooklyn, New York, to see the Connecticut Sun take on the New York Liberty at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
On the court, Queen Latifah and her kid were seen posing for pictures next to players, including Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Aaliyah Edwards and Bria Hartley from the Connecticut Sun.

They were also seen taking a picture with New York Liberty player Jonquel Jones.
For the special outing, Rebel wore an aqua and black colored jersey with a pair of cargo pants and Laitfah donned what appeared to be a silk shirt with some blue jeans, white sneakers and a hat.
The “Living Single” star is a proud mom of one and she shares Rebel with her partner, Eboni Nichols. In 2021, she gave her kiddo a shout-out when she was being honored with the lifetime achievement award at the 2021 BET Awards.
During her closing remarks, she said, “I’m going to get off this stage, but I thank you so much for all of you, the fans for supporting every crazy-a– thing I’ve done through the years. And thank you for making ‘Equalizer’ No. 1. Eboni, my love. Rebel, my love. Peace — Happy Pride!”

In 2017, Queen Latifah spoke to People about parenthood and said she always envisioned her with a “big family.”
“I’m a late bloomer. I’m a late bloomer with a lot of things and you know — nobody’s perfect. I’m an overachiever in some ways and just like slow as molasses in other ways,” she said. “I think I kind of needed to grow and mature and get everything kind of taken care of with everything before I was able to really deal with it.”
The “U.N.I.T.Y.” rapper also opened up about adoption and said that’s always something that’s caught her eye.
“I definitely want to adopt,” she said.
Queen Latifah added that it didn’t matter how old the child was — she just wanted to be there to give them a sense of family.
“To me, it’s the most unselfish thing you could do, to be a parent. It’s not about you at all. It’s about what you can give to support this child growing into adulthood. And so it doesn’t matter if it’s a baby or a toddler or a teenager, for that matter,” she said. “As long as they get to feel like they have a mother, they have a home, they have a family and somebody who’s there for them.”
