At approximately 2 p.m. on Friday, August 29th, the Steinbach Fire Department was called to a crash one mile south of Steinbach on the corner of Highway 12 and Road 34N.

According to Kelvin Toews, Chief of Steinbach Fire Department, two vehicles were involved in the accident.

STARS were called on scene and transported one person. The highway was used to land the helicopter and, as a result, shut down traffic for roughly an hour.

According to a spokesperson from STARS, the patient was transported in stable condition.

The Steinbach Fire Department returned around 3:30 p.m.
