Kirby Dach‘s knee is probably the most closely watched knee in Montreal right now.

The reason is quite simple.

Make no mistake, the condition of Dach’s knee could have a huge impact on the Canadiens’ season.

Important Development for Kirby Dach’s Knee Injury

Today, for the very first time since his surgery, Dach seriously tested his knee, and it seems to have gone extremely well!

We even have some footage, thanks to Patou Info and Frank Well Le Podcast Hockey:

Let’s just say it looks very promising for training camp, and even for the start of the Canadiens’ season.

Dach, Hutson, Demidov, Blais, Dobes, Kakkonen are among the players present.

He appears to have passed a major first test today.

Kirby Dach, 24 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 221-pound forward who was selected third overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2019 NHL Draft (1st round) and was traded to the Montreal Canadiens in 2022.

Last season, he recorded 22 points in 57 games with the Habs, bringing his career total to 121 points in 269 games, including 43 goals.

This is a major storyline to watch, but things clearly seem to be moving in the right direction for the player who is expected to be Martin St-Louis’ second-line center to start the 2025-26 season.
